The goal of this workshop is to clearly and simply describe the processes involved in writing a successful grant. This presentation is designed for those who have little or no grant writing experience. The discussion will focus on the steps that are necessary for any funding request: identifying need, clarifying agency/project mission and goals, building partnerships, documenting success. An overview of a typical grant will be provided along with suggestions for successful proposal writing.
Course Outline:
Overview of the grant process
Different types of funding require different types of approaches
Planning and project development tips
Reading the RFP (Request for Proposals), following instructions
Review of standard RFP sections
Using a Logic Model as a planning tool
Suggestions for successful proposal writing
Target Audience: Elementary, Middle School, and High School Administrators
