Tools of the Trade I.. Giving Kids a Lifetime Guarantee! An Afterschool Professional Development Train-The-Trainer Workshops The University of California 4-H Youth Development Program is pleased to announce they have received funding from MetLife and National 4-H Council to provide training to 550 afterschool staff on communication, management, guidance and discipline, age appropriate practice and civic engagement. They will be providing seven hours of training using the Tools of the Trade I – Giving Kids a Lifetime Guarantee! trainer manual.
The training is complimentary; however, the expectation is that those receiving the training will train an additional 10 afterschool staff with the training content. Each attendee will receive the comprehensive training manual that includes over 15 hours of staff development modules designed especially for afterschool settings. Each line-staff, or those who cannot commit to the training expectation, the cost of the training is $10 and the CD can be purchased for $40 if desired.
Registration for each session should be completed at least two weeks prior to the training date. They expect the trainings to fill quickly, so encourage you to register as soon as possible. The BOOST Boot Camp offers targeted, intensive seminars that include valuable tips, tools and resources to help out-of-school time staff be successful working with children, families, schools and communities. Sta will leave equipped, trained and inspired to thrive in the out-of-school time hours.

Cost is $99 per day or attend all days for only $265. All BOOST Boot Camps include a pre-needs assessment, action planning, post-worksop evaluation, opportunities to share promising practices, and resources to supplement the area of focus.
Our Boot Camps include all workshop materials. Workshops are highly interactive with the core of each session connected to success for all students and our core values to inspire youth, inspire learning, and inspire change. The BOOST Boot Camp includes coffee and breakfast snacks, lunch, and a light afternoon snack.
